The Interview

Cory Booker, the mayor of Newark, New Jersey, introduced me to Andrea when he invited me to her book signing in downtown New York in spring 2009. She is gregarious and easy-going and happens to be another fellow Texan I just randomly met along the way. Several months later, on an abnormally hot Los Angeles day, I went to her charming Craftsman-style home and heard her story.
