In August 2007 I was shooting some behind-the-scenes footage at an It’s All About YOU! tour event in New York with Dr. Michael Roizen, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Joel Harper, and Lisa Oz. I had just started thinking about Epiphany as a real project and while we were in the greenroom I asked Mike about his greatest epiphany. We had just met a few minutes before, but without hesitating, he gave me his answer on camera in an extremely succinct and compelling way. In February 2009 we sat down in another greenroom in New York, this time on one of our DVD shoots, and he gave me the detailed story behind the epiphany he talked about in 2007, along with a bonus epiphany about his wife that I hadn’t been expecting.
